You are right Master Tyler E. Brundige, I should not just quote a Wikireference and discount all of those studies in the 70s, although given that nothing concrete has come from this technique since its inception in 1939 is somewhat telling. A search on pubmed (the largest and most widely used database of peer-reviewed scientific and medical articles), does indeed bring up some references to kirilian photography. Some are in Russian, so unfortunately, I cannot comment on them. If interested, take the time to at least peruse these items written by people far more educated in this topic than I am. I won’t say that the conclusion is foregone – there is some evidence for the technique as a diagnostic, although if it’s anything more than measuring how much your hands are sweating (indicator of a stress response and potentially disease) is unclear to me. On the other hand, interpreting these results as a window into an ‘aura’ (as suggested by the linked video) is magical thinking and utter bullshit.
Yeah me too Ste, i do believe the heart is a healer but not what it says on this tin really. "Aura's" i don't think you need to be plugged in to see it, i do believe that good vibrations heal but this looks like something a kids made and told his friends to have a play with. They don't fully understand what it does and nothing concrete has come out of it.

ha ha "its a new idear" no its OOOLD knowledge, recently discovered by many scientist around the world in many many ways (the biggest quantum physics)…. the end game will be that we are absolutely creating our own reality… the bigger questions is – who are we really, beyond the subconscious level of creation? so far this is the best answer I stumbled upon: "we are the witness through which the universe become conscious of its magnificence" – wauw….
Roller Mac Ex you should look into some cosmology and astronomy to get a feel for how the universe behaves on a vast scale. Then you need to dig in a little bit on how the quantum mechanics of the extremely small. Then check out studies of how the human bodies natural energy is affected by things such as increased gravity around the pryamids and the magnetic hots spots that the ancients seemed to understandmuch more about than we do. Apparently the combination of the magnetic hot spot and the geometric shapes of their buildings affect your bodies natural energy. The energy displacement of both our bodies and the geomagnetic fields ARE detectable by modern science, but are still a mystery as to the extent of the affects and its meaning.

Winner, winner, chicken dinner my friend! Would you like your payout in good karma or life lessons? Perhaps you'd like to sign up for the Express Charm Charge Card… Yes im slingin mud at gambling and marketing in one go. its a good habit lol. Seriously though, keep up your interests in the real Natural sciences. Here's one for you, every atom in your body was created in its own star at some point after a singularity expanded into a vast universe. Then grew the first nebula, that created the first stars, that each had there own dying process. Most probably went super nova and one of those first stars realeased just one of your body's billions of atoms into the universe millions..and millions.. and millions of years ago.. the description is vague so that you will fill in the gaps on your own. Learn it, love it, live it, cause it is all the ever is and will be.
Aura or quantum field radius could be many many kilometers! And the human consciousness and mind can coordinate it, but the heart is beating out the subtle vibrations.
It doesn't matter who showed you the information, it doesn't matter if it was a mainstream channel on tv or myscience academy. You ALWAYS have to doubt the information you see if it is contraditory or if you are having a hard time believing it. Look for the study that based the news, try searching for the name of the scientist and his scientific reports. Check if his/her study is solid on the scientific method. Don't just complain about what you don't fully understand. And always check if the paradigms have changed. Beacause they change more often than you think.
Yeah, here's an idea. If you don't have a VERY sound knowledge and background in physics, just relax a little bit before you start commenting regarding the physics of it.
Hint: If you think 'What the bleep do we know?" is a good film, your physics sucks.
If you don't have a VERY sound knowledge and direct experience with what might be termed 'energy practices', relax a little bit before you start commenting regarding the weirder aspects.
So, what I'm saying is…hippies, skeptics, both camps can shut the fuck up a little bit.

silence solves nothing. Each person has a right to give their opinion. Work experience or educational experience in a field of study does not make you superior over anyone of any back ground. No opinion will ever be totally and absolutely sound and correct in every way. Degrading an opinion with ill intent, foul language, or lies defaces the value of any individuals intellect, and also defaces the value of our human reason. To kindly object and inform, voicing your reason for doing so, and to listen to the feedback with the intent of bettering your understanding is every human beings duty to themselves, to our only home, and to our gift of reason. field workers to astronauts deserve the chance to seek the truth of our existence, with their voices, their words and/or their dreams.
What a load of complete crap. Hey, hippy. Here's how things are in reality. If you don't really know what you're talking about and associate with other people who don't know what they're talking about, ignorance proliferates.
If you take the time to actually learn, research, and understand the topic, you may come to greater understanding.
Everyone can have their opinion, but in no way does that mean all opinions have equal validity.
Actually, yes. Having experience, education, understanding and knowledge in a certain area does mean that you are 'superior' in knowledge in that field. If it didn't, any dickhead could walk off the street and say "Hi! I'm a plasma physicist just because I feel like it!"
No. That isn't hwo it works.
It's just lazy people who can't be bothered making the effort to learn that think that way.
So you've proven this theory wrong yourself then? Einstein was a nobody according to his college professor. He dreamed of what makes our reality work and in his own way said "hey im a physicist because i feel like it." And to assumingly label me, a human being, as a "hippy" because "your too lazy" to find a reasonable and educated debate against my statement that silence will not bring the answers humanity seeks.
So youre inferring that you know the exact sciences that go into this field of study? You've mastered Particle Physics, found how Quantum Mechanics works with General Relativity, and solved M-Theory/String Theory? According to your own statement you have no room to speak of such subjects unless you know Exactly what you're talking about.
Ignorance does not proliferate through the discussion of what might be possible. Ignorance proliferates through the people who condesend those seeking answers, people who use labels to judge intellect, people who decide they are superior because of their education. You can recieve a Phd. in Physics but still fail to make any valid break throughs or discoveries. Mastering what others have already discovered makes you no smarter than a copy machine. Using intuition, just reasoning, and Honorable peer review can give vast amounts of knowledge without ever stepping into a class room or being trained to use chemicals in a lab.
Do yourself a favor and lose the high horse mentality, its ruining our society enough as it is.
I may have to disagree with you to a certain extent. If someone has an extensive educational background in a certain field of science, I would find their opinion to be more superior than someone who doesn't have an educational background, unless perhaps they were a certified genius or unless they studied physics as a hobby. Because you can learn just as easily on your own as you can in college. But if they are just open to discussion and they don't involve themselves very well in that particular field, then I would say the person who does, has the superior opinion.
Nicola Tesla~ was the first actually! was he not? http://users.panola.com/lindgren/aura.html also I find this to be interesting, if you would like to look~http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orgone This stuff does work in medical fields, perhaps not exactly the way it is looked at in this video…But have you heard of Electro-Magnetic Fields? EMDP? There are several ways this can be used, so further study and peer review is extremely essential because it is better to find cures for our pains and issues than to keep suffering! We have yet to cure so many horrible issues, so those who dispute should do the work to either disprove or test the theories and come back with, "these studies show…" otherwise, we believers will hit you back with, "these studies show this DOES WORK!" EMF and EMDP are not getting enough attention, and I strongly believe they do work/help the brain with 'getting back into order' but that causes a rash* of a mess throughout the body, which then needs to be detoxed to clean out that rash*** and it takes some time to show evidence**Check it out
There is no solid empirical evidence that our consciousness could change the objective reality or the outside world , so this is just a pseudoscientific nonsense (so far)!
I am not a particle physicist but I have been having aura photo taken every year for the past ten years. Four years ago I was told that there was a problem in the base chakra area. I had an ultrasound and guess what there was a big problem.. As for Wikipedia they still describe Bosnian Pyramids as natural rock formation.
It's embarrassing and disrespectful to post this under the heading of "science". How can you claim the moral authority to speak out against creationism in the classroom if you are going to promote this long since disproven pseudoscience as science? This is part of the dumbing down process. THIS is why uniformed people give more credence to ghosts and psychics than to biologists and climate scientists!

Really? your own basic science proves it.Thermal dynamics & electricity, also there is a special photography when putting an iron plate underneath the hand then with an old school polariod, even CT scans have shown people who meditate/pray-brain waves change from Theta to delta waves, recommending yoga to heart patients so for you to say there are no "auras" you must not have a soul. LOL
here's your proof: " Oh I can't do yoga- all that standing on my head and stuff"…..yeah that's call mind over matter, anything is possible- if you put your MIND over your body. Further proofs: CT scans have revealed during meditation, theta waves to delta & doctors are normalizing meditations, iron plate& polariod camera's , also basic science in thermaldynamics/ electricity.
Science certainly does change because it is measurable & testable … what you mention is neither … therefore it falls under the pseudoscience banner … Feynman addresses this issue very well … http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HtMX_0jDsrw
Its not a matter of whether this is possible or not, its whether we are open minded enough to see its possibility. We never stop learning, just when we think we have learned it all we always learn something new. Once we close our minds and except that we know we stop growing, don't ever stop growing every day you learn so much new bigger and better things……don't be closed minded in any area of life…you really don't know anything. Volitaire said “The more I read, the more I meditate; and the more I acquire, the more I am enabled to affirm that I know nothing” Confusicous says “Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance.” and lastly Benjamin Franklin said "Being ignorant is not so much a shame, as being unwilling to learn.” all very good quotes to learn from….think about it.

Hey Alex, so you're telling me science is aboslute? science is learning and relearning what you think you know.

Agreed, in fact there are good experiments over many years that prove that Prayer AND positive thinking in cancer patients has no measurable effect.

FYI– this comment was directed at this increasingly pseudoscience oriented website– it was not a rhetorical rant for FB.

Really? your own basic science proves it.Thermal dynamics & electricity, also there is a special photography when putting an iron plate underneath the hand then with an old school polariod, even CT scans have shown people who meditate/pray-brain waves change from Theta to delta waves, recommending yoga to heart patients so for you to say there are no "auras" you must not have a soul. LOL
Mar 13, 2013 @ 14:17:18
here's your proof: " Oh I can't do yoga- all that standing on my head and stuff"…..yeah that's call mind over matter, anything is possible- if you put your MIND over your body.

How hard it is to truly know something…
