The gyro stabilized two wheel bus put me in mind of the Segway, and several of the train ideas are like monorails/ bullet trains, too.

Google's driverless cars have logged well over 300,000 miles in Nevada. The only accidents have been when they switch them to manual control (people). This was also a fact when the USAF used the F-111 fighter bomber TFR (Terrain Following Radar) for the first time in Vietnam. The aircraft would hug the ground but the pilots would freak out near mountain ranges and turn it off, take control of the stick and crash.
