I wish the whole human race had an open mind like this kid does.
2013/03/24 at 18:28
We naturally do. It's parents and public education that stifle the creativity of a child.
2013/03/31 at 08:31
I wish that too :)

Was this 'cultivated', or just innately who he is.
Obviously he has a mind of his own...but I'd love to know his 'influences'
He seems to be the product of patience and understanding.
I'd also love to see an update on his Philosophies in a few years.

Pretty wise and well taught Kid... Hope his perspective in life didn't change
2013/12/03 at 23:03
That kid is a freethinker!!!

Polygamy??how primitive! Human beings evolved past that thousands of years ago. Women are no longer seen as property. Get with the times.
2013/06/18 at 17:38
Polygamy is not about property ownership in every case. There are cases right now where the women choose to join an existing polygamous family and even if the man were to leave, the sister wives would remain together. Not my choice of how to live but some do choose to do so.

This kid is reciting a speech already told these are not by any means his words
2013/03/25 at 01:22
Why does every thread end up with some kind of derrogatory statement and name calling. Come on people. Of course we "shouldn't believe" everything. And yes of course we should question everything. We all have opinions and all views should be respected. If it waw scripted... shame on dad and kudos to the kid remembering that. If it was not, then there is hope for the younger generation. No he might have said anything specifically mind altering.... but the fact that he is that age and open minded and philosophical is amazing. He probably drinks non fluoridated water lol. Now you all behave.
2013/03/31 at 08:37
I totally second this. he is a hope for our future - no matter how he learned this...
2013/03/24 at 19:20
Used to talk like this as a kid, but then again my mum used to wash our fruit and vegies, I played in the yard and pong wasn't invented then , let alone ipads.
2013/03/24 at 13:12
You are an awesome kid! I love you!
2013/03/31 at 04:19
It's amusing to watch adults squirm in the face of much more intelligent children. His ramblings weren't conclusive because that's the whole point. lol
2013/03/24 at 19:14
I'm not criticizing or anything, but this is the internet. there are a lot of skeptical videos on the internet and we can't believe everything that is shown to us. This sounds a little prepared. I'm just hoping this wasn't scripted by the parents to use their kids for exposure. If you go to this guy's youtube, it's all about his music. If his kid was that intelligent, why aren't there more videos of him and his ideas? However, if this kid legitimately knows what he's talking about, then more power to him. Hopefully more people will open up their minds to realize what this child has realized has his age. It only takes common sense which, unfortunately, seems to really be lacking in our society these days.

this video wasn't filmed by his parents. The owner of the video has no relation to the kid as far as im aware
2013/03/24 at 19:44
I also often think of our awareness of what's around us is like that of an ant walking on the sidewalk in front of the Empire State Building and not having a clue , and I often see the Earth as a piece of stardust floating in a sunbeam.....deep thoughts..just saying.
2013/03/24 at 22:07
This child's outlook of the world is similar to Plato's story The Cave. In the story Plato describes people who live in a cave and know nothing about the outside world. One of the inhabitants breaks away ventures into the outside world. When he returns to the cave and tries to spread the word of the new world beyond the cave Plato says the others killed him. Let's hope this young man is not disillusioned by society and have his outlooked squashed by that society. A lot of people do not want to venture into the unknown.

Brenda Cook , right ma'am, in short, we have a world almost full of bigots. Hope that we can change it.
2013/03/24 at 13:48
kid was probable taught that by some over obsessive parents.... besides he doesn't say anything conclusive so he isn't really awakened is is?
2013/03/24 at 13:52
If you don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything at all. Bashing kids? Really?
2013/03/24 at 13:56
bashing kids? wtf is that? ur clearly some lowlife middle aged lonely stupid american that will believe anything that pops up on your computer screen... good luck with life dipshit

Oh Arty. Deary deary me... I'm so sorry.

bad vibes bro. hes saying simple stream of conciousness thoughts based on what hes heard growing up, because hes fucking 9
Carrie Bryan Atkins:
2013/03/24 at 14:57
If the kid did say something conclusive, that would tell me he was coached by his parents. It was just normal kid ramblings on a high intellectual level. Have something against smart kids, do you? The fact that you resort to name-calling like a common playground bully tells us a lot about you, and it isn't attractive.
2013/03/24 at 15:31
get a life the lot of ya and stop believing everything u see on youtube and use ur own brain. ur living a in an internet fantasy world!
2013/03/24 at 18:26
You may not have been a very enlightened child, but other children most certainly do contemplate the meaning of life and the Universe... Nobody would obsessively shove these things down their throats; creative and inquisitive children naturally question their and arrive to similar conclusions (if they are given access to science and supported by open minded thinkers). Sorry to hear you weren't very enlightened as a child, and you haven't changed much...

Why should Arty Farty keep his thoughts for himself, Tiffany Martelli? Just because it's not positive? To please you? I could imagine that he's questioning how obsessive the parents would be. Look at asian tiger mom's pushing their kids into sports and religion their kids don't even like. Kids should be free to have thoughts of their own and not parrot their parents without thinking.
But even if he had obsessive parents, I would like this parents very much.
Why? He does understand what he was saying. It's not like he studied all the elements of periodic table and never seen this elements. His parents could obsessively explain how life works for them, but he seems to really own it. It looks very real to me. (But may be the camara men(his dad?) has asked the questions before, so he had time to think about it. ) He has touched parts of life, and he does understand them. He might get difficult situations in life and not react responsible to that, but everybody makes mistakes. I think he's awakened at this point, let's see if he stays at it while growing up.
2013/03/24 at 19:28
I don't think he was bashing the kid, all he said was that he may have only been repeating what his parents taught him and not really understanding what he was saying. I looked into the guy's youtube channel (which i'm sure no one else may have done) and that was the only video of the kid. I'm sure there would be more videos of him if his intelligence really was how it appears in this video. Don't believe everything you see on the internet. I would like to see more of this child if he really can develop the thoughts and ideas he discussed.
2013/03/24 at 22:42
THATS THE WHOLE POINT! NOT BEING CONCLUSIVE BECAUSE THEIR IS NO WAY TO BE CONCLUSIVE IF WE LACK THE KNOWLEDGE AND CAPACITY TO DO SO PRESENTLY.

that was definitly not memorized material that he learned from over obsessive parents, that kid was comin off the dome with those answers and as strange as it sounded coming from the mouth of a mere child, they were more open minded and made more sense then most adults i know who cant come up with half the stuff this kid shared.
2013/04/04 at 20:57
i think that he kept questioning himself shows originality in thought. i do not know from awakened, i think kids are very much awake, i am one of those middle aged, well, i will leave off the rest of your judgment, but some kids, like some adults, probably the same at different stages, question all they are conscious of, and interested in what is beyond merely empirical evidence. He is a cute little very articulate thinking child who is honest enough to admit his answers are his perceptions
2013/06/18 at 17:52
The fact that when questioned, you immediately resort to hostile remarks shows that you are very 'unaware' yourself. I suggest you take start spreading good to people, instead of trying to sound like an overly smart arrogant prick, which impresses no one.
2013/06/18 at 18:34
Arty, this kid is 9, and no he's not throwing out amazingly obscure but correct theories, he's saying it how it is. And for a 9 year old, especially how generations are now a days it is fairly miraculous to see someone so young with such a sound idea of how life is and how little we actually are in the world.
2013/06/18 at 19:13
Dude you might be right but you're missing the point... kids this age usually don't think like this. It's not like he's an ultra genius, but is still fun to watch.
2013/03/24 at 13:43
That kid is really cool!
2013/03/24 at 13:45
2013/03/28 at 17:08
whether or not the kid knows or can grasp what he is actually saying is irrelevant. Would you rather him memorize that or the bible and trick him into believing fairy tales and that the earth is less than 10,000 years old?
For the person that said this is an exactly like a Joe Rogan podcast, please provide a link. The JRE has a poscast EVERYDAY for over 2 hours and topics like this come up daily. So when talking about our Universe, some data and information will get duplicated.
Be glad this kid will be brought up to question absurd claims and demand evidence. Not deny the truth and hide behind cliche arguments.
